Appeals
RWNS supports a significant number of asylum seekers during their asylum processing journeys, interviews and final decisions.
We are able to offer legal support – guidance to general information, interview practice, reading letters, explaining technical terms
We are not able to provide legal advice – representation in court, suggesting courses of action, facilitating direct communication with UK courts & judiciaries
For positive asylum decisions:
We have a Move On Advice and Guidance service to then support with homeless prevention, housing searches, and employability applications.
For negative asylum decisions:
Our expertise is restricted, and must remain restricted, to the initial possible responses of:
(1) Create a MyHMCTS account and submit an appeal to the first tribunal court, writing your statement letter for IACsuppdocs@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk.
(2) Contact migrant help to make sure you are not refused ongoing S95, s98, or S4 (ARE) support. If your asylum support is withdrawn, we can also help you to submit an E09 appeal and contact ASAP
(3) Contact a lawyer to represent you with your case or to submit a judicial review where the asylum claim is clearly unfounded
(4) Guide you through the relevant voluntary returns scheme / process
We cannot assist with applying for permission to appeal at the Upper-Tier tribunal or gathering evidence to submit a fresh claim.
