Dentist Process
There is great demand on NHS dentists currently. We know it is difficult when you are in pain and you cannot find anyone to help.
You can search for NHS dentists here
Find a dentist – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
You will then need to call each one to ask if they are currently accepting new patients.
If you are in urgent need and cannot find a dentist to take you as a patient, you can get an urgent one-off appointment. Call 111 at 8am and say you need an urgent dentist. They will find an emergency appointment. You will then need to find your way to the dental surgery.
You may need to show proof of benefits or your HC2 certificate to avoid being charged.
Your GP will not help with dental problems.
RWNS volunteers can help you make these calls when we are open.
We can also help you prepare what to say if you need to call 111 at 8am.
