Driving License Process

We at RWNS recognise the freedom and improved opportunities provided by having a driving licence.

Please consider the costs involved in obtaining a driver’s licence, having regular lessons, purchasing, and running a vehicle.

Currently a provisional driver’s licence costs £34 when you apply online.

You may need to send your BRP as proof of identity. Do not do this until you have any benefits claim established and you are settled in accommodation

You can apply for your provisional licence here:

Apply for your first provisional driving licence – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

RWNS volunteers can help you apply but please be advised that health, housing, employment and money matters take priority.
