3 ways to help people fleeing Afghanistan

3 ways to help people fleeing Afghanistan

It’s been 12 months since the fall of Afghanistan to the Taliban.

Join us in standing with Afghan refugees, asylum seekers and displaced people as they still face the effects of the takeover.

Here are three simple things you can do to help, put together by the Good Chance Theatre.

1. Fly With Me

People all across the UK and beyond will be coming together on 20th August to fly kites in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan. Take part in our next kite-making workshop today or on Saturday, ready for the extravaganza on Weston Beach Saturday afternoon!

Here are some of the kites we’ve made so far…

See more details about the Fly With Me event here.

2. Fight the anti-refugee laws

Ask your MP to fight against the anti-refugee laws that make it even more difficult for people seeking asylum. Use the form on the Refugee Action website to email your MP and ask them to sign the #FightTheAntiRefugeeLaws pledge.

3. Stand by her side

If you can afford to donate, please consider giving to the Afghan Aid By Her Side appeal to women and girls within Afghanistan. For every £1 donated to the appeal before 30th September, the UK government will double your donation by contributing £1 of UK Aid.

Thank you for your support!
