
Fly With Me
Fly With Me is an epic festival of Afghan kite flying, storytelling, music, poetry and dance across the UK and Europe!
On 20th August, one year on from the Kabul evacuations, people everywhere will celebrate Afghan culture through the simple, joyful act of kite-flying.
Join us and learn how to make Afghan kites on Tuesday afternoons leading up to the event, where you’ll be led by Afghan artisans living in the area.
On the 20th of August, there will be kite-making all afternoon before people come together for kite-flying celebrations on Weston Beach.
When: Tuesday 2nd, 9th and 16th August drop-in sessions 2–4 pm
and
Saturday 20th August drop-in workshop 12–5 pm with kite flying for everyone on the beach after

Fly With Me is produced by the Good Chance Theatre, which created The Walk with the 3.5m-tall puppet, Little Amal.
